Additional

Became curious? Here are a few additional websites that I think might be helpful for others (at least they were for me at some point in time). You can find links to tutorials for statistical programming (R, Stata, ...), blogs, and many more!

Feel free to reach out if you got something to add :)

PhD advice

1. DOING A PHD IN ECONOMICS

About: This book is most apt for applied research in economics (i.e., applied theory and empirical works). Despite considerably overlapping with Thompson's book (2011, see below) in terms of topics, they greatly complement each other. Hence, I suggest reading not only one of them but both.

About: This book is similar to Bellemare's (2022) but with a stronger emphasis on theoretical research (e.g., modeling, mathematical proofs, etc.). Also, it provides more practical advice on presenting one's research in seminars and conferences. As mentioned above, I suggest it as a companion with (rather than a substitute for) the book by Bellemare (2022).

2. ON THE ECON JOB MARKET
